Grand felin

Short animated movie for Animation 2 and 3 class in Universidad Veritas, Costa Rica. I didn't participate in the per-production face (I might upload my per-production later. A different project) but had the nice surprise to be invited to participate in the production face, post was taken care of by our project director.

Our tasks where split as evenly as possible to have us all busy. I participated in the modeling of the characters and "sculpting" of the projected background, I rigged the father jaguar using The Setup Machine and some customization (ears, jaw and eyes, which can't be controlled with TSM alone) and Blender to sculpt mirror and export the blend shapes (shape keys) and the kitty's deformed cartoon eyes, with a lattice and bone setup. Also did a lot of animation, but what's left is mostly the tail movements and the take where the dad invites the son to imitate him.

It seams so little for the amount of work it took. Over all and especially dew to my past experiences, this project's team members are the best and I thank them for letting me be part of this wonderful production. May there be more animation in the near future.
